How do you prepare for games and practice? Is your routine different from one to the other? Some players feel that practice isn't as important as games and others feel differently. In many respects you as a player will reflect the coaching philosophy that you are involved in. Some coaches treat games as the ultimate measure while others see it as an opportunity to showcase the skills that you have practiced on.
When preparing for practice or a game make sure that you approach each as being equally important. If you get into practicing bad habits then most likely you will play games with bad habits and this leads to failure.

"If you fail to prepare, then you prepare to fail"! - John Wooden
